I just love this job!  Not only do I get to feature the most incredible dance music week in - week out on FIRE Radio, I get to meet and discuss that with my audience on a regular basis.  The shrunken world of social media has made everyone instantly accessible and this works especially well if you're in the music and media business.  I've had a lot of feedback regarding the announcement that there was to be no End Of Year Megamix on FIRE.  This is down to my studio and label commitments.

However, I did promise everyone something special instead and I'm thrilled to say we play it tonight on the show (and next week too if you like it!).  It's only 7 mins long but features more than 50 of this year's biggest and best hits!  And yes Gangnam is in there!  The mix is a massive mash-up of tracks, spliced, re-spliced and re-re-spliced by a collective group of insomniac obsessive compulsive DJ producers.  How many tracks can you name?  Check in from 9pm to check it out.

My house project alter-ego The CloudShapers has released a new track this week.  Obsession is a deep house affair and I'm thrilled to say it's gathered some amazing love along the journey to the official release date.

It's always brilliant to get positive feedback and more importantly gig and radio plays from DJ/producer friends and peers.  Major support this time around from Tom Novy and Greg Stainer has completed a very successful campaign.  We decided to really push this track forward at ADE2012 and the feedback has been fabulous!  So, an exciting few months are planned for this project, with a number of remixes lined up and some more solo releases too.  If you're on this vibe then thank you for your support.

There's no escaping the fact that the next few days are a bit of a massive celebration here in the UK and quite right too.  The Queen has achieved a 60 year reign and is still going strong.  Respect due.  The bonus for many is the extra time off work to party and that's where the specialist DJ team at FIRE come in.

I've spent most of this week finishing off some new new studio projects in time for the big Summer we're all hoping will arrive.
