It seems to have taken forever to get to Friday again! At last we're here and I can share the love of house and spin some quality new tunes across the FIRE airwaves and the internet stream. Quite a progressive vibe for tonight's show, plus a great special guest and a competition to win Royksopp's new album thrown in for good measure.

Toolroom Knights is currently one of the best clubbing sessions available - but not currently in Bournemouth!? The label was created by top DJ/Producer Mark Knight and accompanied by his brilliant team of tune champions they have been delivering some epic releases and terrific compilations for a while now. It's been a few months since we last caught up with Toolroom gang, so it's great to be chatting with their Toolroom Knights Event Manager and DJ, Tania von Pear. Tonight is my last Pure Fire show on a Tuesday night. After a small break I'll be back to do my thing each and every Friday night for the 'big one', to really smash up the FIRE airwaves with quality house, electro, beats, bleeps, bootlegs and special guests. A great opportunity to share the tunes and the love of house and the love of beats.

For tonight's last show I've got the usual stack of upfront material and hot tunes for you to digest. I'll also be catching up with young gun, James Herkes, who is taking over the Tuesday night slot and is going to be absolutely fantastic! Trust me.

My parting gift is airing one of the special Mixbuster creations again and putting it up for download. This mix is a personal fave out of the pile made for FIRE and always got a good response, so I really hope it hits the spot again tonight.

Chris Lake & the tower where he stores his immense talent!

Another show jammed with hot new tracks and cheeky remixes. I kicked off with the latest tune from the supremely talented Chris Lake. This brilliant track shows shades of 'Change', but is also a more developed song with his signature piano sound. I recently watched a video of Chris making this tune and learnt the secrets of how he created the mighty bass sound. Awesome!

A welcome return tonight for G Club 'Guittara', re-worked by Funkagenda. Amazing feedback for this as well as the Marilyn Manson bootleg - so thank you for all the text's, emails and phonecalls. I really don't know what to say about the return of 'Guittara' with Funkagenda at the helm, apart from I know I'm just not going to tire of listening to it - or playing it. Fantastic stuff!

Missy E: Cop that bootleg!

I started this week's show off with an 'official' bootleg from the record company, that they are using to promote the brilliant Rudenko, a track I've been pushing for a while now.  Adding Missy E's rap sure gives this tune extra pace although it's a fantastic release in standard from from the brilliant team at Data.  If only they'd taken my bootleg for the release.  Sulk :-(

:: The Return Of Laidback Luke ::

Laidback Luke: Move the house...

There's not much wrong in the world when you get to play amazing tunes, on a great radio station, for lovely people! Plus, I get to chat to talented superstar DJ's such as Laidback Luke.

I had Luke on the show last summer, where he was in the middle of a gruelling schedule of DJ dates, remix duties and bootleg creation. 6 months later we are eagerly waiting his arrival to play at 2020 Rocks in Bournemouth this coming Friday 23rd, so it was a perfect chance to catch up and here about forthcoming projects. Not that he gave much away!

Out of our chat, I was very pleased to hear that 'Show Be/Me Love' is due out in March (has the momentum been lost?) and more importantly his fabulous bootleg of The Korgis will see an official release in 09. Brilliant! Will he be teaming up with Timbaland? Well something big is going on...... that was all he was prepared to divulge.

My last Pure Fire show of 08 and a chance to review some of the big club tunes as well as preview some future classics. I kicked the session off with a new bootleg which sees new Data release 'Rudenko' up against the classic vocals of 'Soulsearcher'. I played out a few of my other bootlegs from the year as well as some of the biggest tunes from some of my sets in 08. Terrific feedback as always. Thanks.

More mash-up madness at 9pm as The Mixbuster teamed up with immense talent of GHP and DJ Yoda for some Christmas sillyness - which proved remarkably popular, so thanks for your texts and calls.
