I'm so excited about this remix. TNA Project 'Hold Me On The Dancefloor' has been a fabulous studio project to be involved in and I'm thrilled that I can now reveal that my remix is part of the package, which gets a UK release on the 7th Feb. My remix is set to be featured across 40 radio stations in the next few weeks ahead of the full PR which includes a newspaper and TV campaign. I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone has asked me who the female singer is. I'm not allowed to say at the moment, but all will be revealed soon.

I've been road testing this track everywhere, including playing it every week on the radio show for weeksand the feedback has been amazing. Thank you.

I've had another bonkers week! First up I was burieds away in the studio this week finishing the next single for Alan Connor which will come out early next year. After the success of Stone Cold and Sun Went Down, Alan and writing partner Darren have come up with another beauty. Can't wait to get that one out! The next release from me on the awesome BASE record label ;-) will be my remix of the new Beatsliders track 'Tekfun'. It's big people! The original track from the boys is a huge piece of tech-trance, with one of the biggest stabs you'll hear. It was great to work on another quality track from The Beatsliders and everyone is very excited about this particular release, as the initial feedback has been amazing! I found out this week that my re-working of the 90s classic '18 Strings' by Tinman has been chosen to make up part of an anniversary re-release, with proceeds going to charity. I am super--thrilled! :-)

The producer behind the Tinman pseudonym is Paul Dakeyne, who I've admired and followed since I began my musical journey! Paul, along with other DMC producers of the time, were a great influence on me as I studied their techniques and enjoyed their work across the groundbreaking productions that flew out of the studio doors at the DMC building in Slough. To be connected to such a master via this production is thrilling and I'm really looking forward to having Paul as my guest on my radio show in a few weeks time. We'll talk about the anniversary of the Tinman club classic and better still we'll delve into Paul's incredible back catalogue of epic productions. Can't wait!

I've woken up today to read all about the Grammys. I'm gobsmacked by some of the results and it seems that style over substance once again sways the judges votes. Who are the judges!?

More directly, the category of 'Best Remix Recording - Non-Classical' was won by David Guetta and DJ Afrojack. Well done guys. However, my vote would have definately gone to this epic production from Axwell & Dirty South, where they absolutely transformed The Temper Trap's 'Sweet Disposition' into a beautiful and euphoric example of dance music at its very best. If only they'd arrived at the ceremony in a plastic egg!

There are some great people and some awful ones in the music industry. I'm so, so tempted to spill the beans on the duff ones, especially after some of my dealings this week. But I'm far too professional. (Ahem!) Instead I'll share with you some gems from the industry.

First up is the Toolroom Records Team who keep on dishing up some awesome tracks, and making sure that we get them first here on a Friday night. It's one of their new releases 'Filtered' that features as tonight's Tune Of the Week. It's very, very hot and very exclusive, so do check in from 9pm.

Second top geezer of the night is UK singer/songwriter Alan Connor - who is my special guest tonight. His fabulous new single 'Stone Cold', produced once again by Beltek, hits the stores on Monday. I'm slightly biaised I know, as my remix also features as part of the release, but it's a super track and I'm thrilled to be involved with Alan and Beltek on another production. My remix hits the shops in a couple of weeks. :-)

Wow! The weekend is here at last! Time to rinse out some hot new house tracks for 3 hours on FIRE Radio again. I tend to say this a lot on my blog, but I absolutely love doing the weekly radio show. Tonight I'm joined by one of the top dance music producers, the South Coast's very own Dave Spoon! After a flurry of commercial success, Dave has managed to combine some massive DJ gigs, some brilliant releases, a stack of top flight remixes and some wicked underground dirty tracks. Tonight we'll hear about his involvement with the massive Toolroom Knights New Years Eve Party at Ministry Of Sound, his plans for a solo album, and the story behind one of the biggest underground tracks of the year 'Impure Imagination'! Plus of course I'll be spinning up some of his work, Dave will be on the guest mix and we'll be giving away some lovely Toolroom goodies too!
